Mother's Birthday Box Card

I love the new Paper Pumpkin Kit. It has so many possibilities. I played around with the idea of a special box card for a Mother's Birthday card using black cardstock and watercolor paper. The box is a 4" cube with only the one layer and lid.
I started with a 12" square sheet, scored every 4 inches around and cut out the corners. The lid is cut at 7" square, scored at 1 3/8" around. Cut opposite just up to center for tabs. Don't cut out the corners.

I cut the watercolor paper to about 3 7/8" square and used the watercolor pencils that came with the Paper Pumpkin Kit. I then overlaid the watercoloring when dry with the stamp sets and black archival ink spot.
The pink heart was done with the resist heart from the kit and the two pink watercolor pencils. Black and white striped washi tape completed the box.
The blank sides are left in order to add photographs for your Mom. After all, wouldn't she want some photos of you or maybe some grandkids?
