Tangled Gift Card Holder

I learned a new aspect of my Cricut machine today - Patterns. Thanks to the Official Cricut Facebook page and entries by Kayla Makes on the July 21, 2017 entry of the Cricut Blog, and the July 14, 2017 entry by Everyday Jenny, I decided to try uploading one of my Zentangle mandalas as a pattern to use on a gift card holder. It worked great. I will definitely upload more of my tangles. Not only can I change the size of the pattern, but I can work with it to fill an area with multiple images. This opens the gate for a lot of new projects for me and my students.

I also need to give a shout out to Eni Oken who shared a You Tube video by Ellen Wolters with me to help with Parte Dos. I've tried this tangle before with little success. I decided to use the pencil grid as in the video and it made all the difference. Here's a rough sketch, still very much in progress. This will be a new class offered in the Fall called Niddy Griddies.
