What a night! My husband had successful minor surgery yesterday to have a skin cancer removed from his cheek. At the same time, our dog was not feeling well yesterday and wouldn't eat. His GI habits were also not up to par. Night came and the dog still wouldn't eat. I went to sleep while Henry had to sit up in his recliner for the night. About 2:30, our dog, Benjen woke me to go outside, unusual for him. This began several trips out through the morning. We made an appointment at the vet, but ended up taking him in early to leave until the vet could see him. Poor baby.
Our oldest cat decided we hadn't had enough excitement and apparently had too much sleep. He has ended up with medication today as well to settle his stomach. Needless to say, neither of us is operating on full cylinders today.
Despite all of this, I need to make better progress on getting ready for a Craft Fair April 1st, so I started trolling the internet for some inspiration. I am trying to improve my card-making skills, so today I looked up "clean and simple cards." I found a nice explanation at this website (http://operationwritehome.org/tutorial-what-is-clean-and-simple/) by Operation Write Home. I was also watching a You Tube video by Barb Stamps. I liked the clean simple lines of her card, but didn't have all the same products on hand.
I'm sure you've found yourself in this situation. Fortunately, Stampin' Up! products flow so well into each other that I did manage to make this card today, influenced by Barb. I used the following materials pictured here:
Delicate Details Photopolymer Stamps, Classic Stampin' Pads, Peekaboo Peach, Chocolate Chip, and Tip Top Taupe, a large acrylic stamp block.
Our baby is back home now, maybe a little better and full of new meds to be given for the next several days. He did eat a couple of bites of dinner. Here's hoping for a full night's sleep for all.
